Hi My Loves,

As a continuation from last weeks Makeup Monday post 'Why Use Beauty Oil?' I felt it was only fitting to talk to you all about the different kind of oils that are out there and what they are best used for.

Skin Concern - Acne-Prone Skin

Tea Tree Therapy Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is a staple oil in my house, it can be used for so many things, so I definitely always have a bottle of this bad boy lying around. This is great to use as a spot treatment and is much more gentle on the skin that some of the other acne treatments on the market.

Skin Concern - Oily Skin

Argan oil is fantastic for those of you with ageing-skin. Argan oil contains concentrated Vitamin E (good for helping with skin appearance and scar treatment) and fatty acids (which have grey anti-inflammatory properties) which our bodies cannot produce naturally. What is really great about this product is that it is lightweight and suitable to wear during the day
I use Josie Maran's Argan Oil religiously as part of my skincare regime and I absolutely love it.

Skin Concern - Sensitive Skin
Darphin Chamomile Aromatic Care

Chamomile oil is great for calming the skin just as chamomile tea is great for calming the body. This oil is good for soothing redness and irritation in a matter of seconds. It works really well for those with rosacea as it has fantastic anti-inflammatory properties. Ensure you test this oil on a small patch of skin prior to slathering it all over the face. Organic versions of chamomile oil are often found growing alongside allergens, which means they may cause allergic reactions.

Skin Concern - Discoloured and Scarred Skin

Skin Concern - Dry Skin

All of my fellow dry skinned lovelies, this one's for you. I have never plucked up enough courage to try this and make sure you only use it if you have extremely dry skin. This kind of oil is exactly like the one you find in your local grocery store just ensure you buy the "first cold pressed" variety as they are higher in antioxidants that their fellow olive oil counterparts. Olive oil is full of polyphenols, squalene and fatty acids, which are all great at nourishing the skin and helping to fight the ageing process.

Skin Concern - Irritated Skin

Marula is an oil derived from the East African marula nut and is very soothing. It is high in oleic acid, an essential fatty acid the body produces naturally, it absorbs into the face incredibly fast. Marula oil is also high in antioxidants and helps defend the skin from UV rays as well as moisturising.
