Hey Petals,
So for todays Tip Tuesday I am going to talk about those nasty under-eye dark circles that nobody wants. I am no
stranger to dark under-eye circles and I absolutely hate them, but what
actually causes them.
Dark under-eye circles are known to appear due to a lack of sleep and puffiness due to retention of fluids.
However unless we are able to consistently achieve a 7 - 9 hour sleep every
night they may appear every now and then. But I have a few cheap and easy to do solutions you can do at home that may aid in making those nasty bags a little less noticeable :).
1 Cucumber - this is probably the most
well known tip. Take a cold cucumber and pop a slice over each eye allowing it
to sit for about 20 minutes. The anti-inflamatory properties of the cucumber
will help in the reduction of puffiness.
2 Potatoes - pop your potato in
the fridge for 5 - 10 minutes, slice in half and place over your eyes -
covering the dark circles -. Leave them there for 15 - 20 minutes and you'll
notice the bags have reduced in size and are less obvious.
3 Tea Bags - Make yourself your
favourite mug of tea (green tea is also fine) and pop the used teabags in the
fridge. After your tea pop the teabags over your eyes and allow to sit for 30
minutes. After you remove the tea bags wash your face in cold water, and VOILA!
4 Egg Whites - This one may be a wee
bit messy :/. Beat a few egg whites and apply it around your eyes. This will
help your under-eyes feel tighter and look less puffy. Leave for 20 minutes and
wash off with cold water.
5 Drink Drink Drink! - And no I don't
mean alcoholic drinks. I mean plain H2O. Drink as much water as possible as
hydrating your body actually reduces puffiness and aids in the reduction of
fluid retention.
Well my lovelies hope you are able
to implement some of these easy natural remedies. Drop me a comment and let me
know of any other ways you know of to get rid of those horrible bags and
puffiness.
